Its a quiet residential neighborhood, so go for a walk or bike ride and enjoy nature, it's very likely you'll see a deer or two grazing in the woods. Smith Mountain State Park is around the corner and Mariners Landing is just a 5 min drive/2 min boat ride to golf and restaurants. White House General Store 5 mins away for essentials. Bridgewater Plaza, a 15 min drive/20 boat ride, offers waterfront putt-putt, shopping and numerous restaurants (including Mexican, pizza, ice cream and more). If you are really feeling adventurous, the Blue Ridge Parkway is 30 mins away and offers hiking, wineries and scenic views. Of course if you are fisherman, you already know that SML has world class bass fishing, most notably largemouth and stripers.
